The first section, Preparation, begins with creating a housing budget and progresses to helpful tips on finding a good roommate.

The second section, Renting, gives students valuable information about finding the right place to live. They learn how to interpret rental terminology and abbreviations and how to read rental ads. They learn what to expect when meeting a landlord, filling out a rental application, and signing a rental agreement.

The last section, Moving, guides students through the process of transferring utility service, packing, and then renting and loading a moving truck.

FOLLOW UP ACTIVITIES: READING, WRITING & MATH!
Follow-up activities include practical application math, basic comprehension questions to reinforce understanding, and practical writing exercises. Some questions ask students to think about the information given and express their opinions and ideas.
VOCABULARY:
