Stimulate writing and thinking!
Designed to give students practice in “productive questioning,” the 24 lessons in this unit boast two parts.
First, students are posed with a sentence and asked to write as many questions concerning the statement as possible. Example: “Tears ran down the girl’s face.”
Putting it all together is the second task. Example: “Look at the questions you asked. Think about how you would answer each one. Use your answers to write a story. Give it an interesting title.”
Young writers will get plenty of practice with sentence composition and creative thinking.
This eBook is a whiteboard-ready PDF. You will need to have the current version of Acrobat Reader® installed on your computer. If you do not have Acrobat Reader® click here to get it for free.
